Run Gatwick 2024 - Over and Out!
Congratulations on taking part in Run Gatwick 2024!
What a day! After the constant rain we’ve had for months, it was a joy for us to run in bright warm sunshine in this lovely hidden gem of a venue, and of course to exclusively get inside Gatwick Airport and run right next to the live runway.
Thank you to all who took part today. We’ll be back next year and in the meantime, you can register your interest.

A BIG thank you to our sponsors and partners
Thank you to our headline sponsor Gatwick Airport for helping us put on such a fun and unique race. Thanks also to our friends at SES Water for the endless supply of fresh drinking water on the route and the finish line, our new post-race fuelling partner STYRKR, and the fab BBC Surrey and Sussex team for the media coverage.

The Start and Finish at Gatwick Aviation Museum is an ideal place to watch friends and family go off and cheer them home again, plus you get to enjoy the fantastic Event Village with music, our resident MC and great food and drink. You can make a day of it and bring family and friends and book a tour of the fabulous Aviation Museum either before or after your race.
The museum offers a unique collection of aircraft and engines from the Golden Age of British aircraft manufacturing. It also traces and celebrates Gatwick Airport, including the history of the many commercial airlines that operated from here and its development into the second largest international airport in the UK.
Museum entry can be booked in advance with a reduced entry ticket. Opening times are between 10am and 5pm.
Annual memberships will be available to purchase on the day with a 10% discount for anyone with a pre-purchased ticket.
All events start and finish at Gatwick Aviation Museum, RH6 0BT.
Even better, we have a new start time of 11am, which means no getting up super early, but still done in time for lunch!

Refunds:
As with the vast majority of races, we can’t offer a refund unless you select refundable booking at checkout. Please see our participant Terms and Conditions for more information.
Deferrals to future events:
Our deferral policy has had to change in order to sustain our small business going forward. We can no longer support deferrals to the following year. We have always tried our best to be flexible, however this now has to be balanced with finite resources and rising costs. To protect your race place from injury and other unforeseen circumstances, we now have optional refundable booking for 10% of your registration fee. If you choose not to take up this option, please do not ask us for a refund or deferral to another event as we will not be able to do this. Thank you for your understanding.
Transfer your place to another runner:
You can transfer your entry to another runner by 30th April, simply log in to your registration and select the relevant option on the left-hand menu bar.
No, there is no time limit to complete the races and have your finish time recorded. However, please note that 2 hours after the start of the race our marshals will be stood down and normal rules of the road will apply. Bear in mind that you will have to walk and run along roads, many of which do not have pavements. All runners are encouraged to continue running and every finisher will be chip timed. Any runner still on route will also be given the option of a lift back to the start / finish site if they’re unable to complete the distance.
Yes! We will have the expert Xempo pacing team again with experienced pacers covering the following times 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 and 70 minutes.
YES! We have always had wheelchair athletes at our events, please just advise us of this when you register.
As we are an England Athletics licensed event, there are very strict rules around the use of buggies and pushchairs. Please contact us to get the latest advice from us. Please do not enter if you intend to run with a pushchair without consulting with us first.
Dogs, no sorry, we do love them but please leave your furry friends at home. Guide dogs are an exception, obviously.
A free (open air) bag drop is available for all participants, please see your runner number for how to make use of this.
The event village will be open from 8.30am and close at 2pm.
There will be one water station along 10K route. Additional water will be available to every runner at the finish line. Through our partnership with SES Water we will be using paper cups and once again eliminating thousands of single use plastic water bottles. All water will come exactly as it does at home, from a tap! If you prefer to drink from a bottle please bring one along as bottled water will not be available.
Under England Athletics guidelines, the minimum ages to participate are as follows:
10K - 15 and over
This year, for logistical reasons, we won’t be offering a 5K or the 5K relay distance
